Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received great relief from the Allahabad High Court. The court has rejected the petition in which the Yogi was demanded to run a riot case. According to the news agency, ANI Allahabad High Court rejected the application.
In the matter of the 2007 Gorakhpur riots, the state government against Yogi Adityanath refused to allow the trial, whose validity was challenged in the petition. On the petition of Parvez Parvaj and others, the bench of Justice Krishnamurrai and Justice AC Sharma heard the matter.
The petitioner had alleged that the order was filed against Yogi Adityanath, Mayor Manju Chaudhary and MLA Radha Mohan Agarwal etc. after the court order in Gorakhpur riots. Police investigated the final report after the investigation. It was demanded in the petition that the Chief Minister Yogi and other accused should be allowed to prosecute.
Explain that in 2008, Mohammad Asad Hyatt and Parvez had filed petitions for the CBI probe after the death of one person in the riots. In the petition, the inflammatory speeches given by the CM Yogi Adityanath were described as the reason for the riots.
