Dr Goral Gandhi efforts and dedication as clinical embryologist, her success rates that has turned Indo Nippon IVF into one of the most searched IVF clinics all around the globe. She plans to open more such IVF centers all around the world in the near future and help as many couples as possible.

She has conducted a number of training workshops on IUI, IVF, ICSI, Vitrification, Trouble Shooting and Laboratory Management. Not only in India but she has also conducted 7 training workshops in UAE, and has trained over 600 embryologists from countries like USA, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, UAE, and Singapore, other than India.

Goral has been proven to help individuals by giving them practical exposure via her training programs and is also playing a role in the life of childless couples yearning for a baby.

“The leap from natural reproduction to IVF was a giant one, both scientifically and psychologically, especially for people in India, who considered it as a taboo,”said Dr Goral Gandhi, who has worked rigorously in research about embryology and assisted reproduction.

“The emergence of IVF to what it is today came from a lot of skepticism and arguments about its experimentation in both academia and the real world. Still, couples that meet us need reassurance when they look for fertility assistance, but I do see people increasingly accepting it,” she adds.

IVF has helped couples of different ages conceive their own child, thus overcome the limitations of natural pregnancy. However, one breakthrough that I want to highlight exceptionally is its ability of family planning and genetic counselling, said Dr Goral Gandhi Mumbai based embryoloist.

Talking about the scope of IVF and the field of embryology, Dr Goral Gandhi seemed assertive that the practice will only move in the direction of further advances from hereon.

Egg freezing is oocyte (eggs) preservation chosen by women to postpone pregnancy at a later date, whether for medical reasons or for social reasons etc.The eggs are frozen in labs under suitable favorable conditions and can be used anytime later at the time of conception as per Goral Gandhi.

Egg freezing is an empowering decision, which helps women get pregnant even if they are older or want to plan pregnancy later in life. “Modern-day IVF has evolved to cater to fertility obstruction in men as well as women such as low sperm count, low sperm motility/ morphology, lifestyle factors, ovulatory problems, hormonal dysfunctions, endometriosis and other factors that lead to unexplained infertility, etc.”, says Dr Goral Gandhi.

The process of egg freezing involves stimulation of ovaries in which you are injected with hormones to produce more eggs. The injections can be a little painful, but it also depends on person to person and their sensitivity towards this problem. After stimulation is the retrieval of eggs which is done under anesthesia in which you won’t feel a thing. During this entire process you might feel bloated, crampy and uncomfortable.

Egg quality majorly depends on your age. Definition of a good quality egg is the one that ends up in successful pregnancy. With the increasing age quality of egg keeps going down hence lowering the chances of a successful conception. There is no particular method to check the health of the egg, but through chromosomal testing of embryos after thawing and fertilizing can determine if the embryo is chromosomally normal or not, which tells a lot about the health of the eggs.

Her efforts and dedication as clinical embryologist, her success rates that has turned Indo Nippon IVF into one of the most searched IVF clinics all around the globe. She plans to open more such IVF centers all around the world in the near future and help as many couples as possible.

Goral Gandhi has been at the forefront of embryology in India and is currently serving as one of the pioneers in reproductive healthcare segment of the country. She has also been instrumental in establishing assisted conception labs – with a focus on better practices in IVF, as well as education in all aspects of embryology and laboratory training.
