Ladakh is one of the most offbeat tour destinations in India. This Himalayan kingdom is full of natural wonders which confirms our belief that only God can design these kinds of places. The view of Ladakh looks like a broad beautiful canvas painting with colors of nature. This is the capital of adventure lovers and also the most favorite destination for the peace-loving people. There are various kinds of activities you can experience here like trekking, camping, bike riding, photography, shopping & many more.
The whole region is influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. As a blessing of this Ladakh is also known for its monasteries which are so beautiful by their ambiance as well as for their architectural styles. These are also known as Gompas and most of them are in and around Leh. Leh is the center point and major district of Ladakh. It is also important in terms of administration. The airport which connects Ladakh to the other parts of the country also located at Leh which under the surveillance of the Indian Army as it is most sensitive in terms of defense of India.
To experience a bike ride in Leh Ladakh there are two ways that are you can perform it from Leh to Leh and from Manali to Manali. Both routes are the most adventurous routes for all kinds of bike riding and travel-loving people. If you opt for the first option then it will take 6-7 days to complete the ride and if you want to go with the second one then it will take 11-12 days. Both routes are best there is no comparison between them. During the trip, there are ample opportunities for you to quench photography thirst.
Day 1: Arrival at Manali
From Delhi, there are various transportation mediums like government or private buses are available. So board on the bus in the evening. It will drop you Manali in the early morning. As you reach their check-in at the hotel/guest house, take some rest and after having breakfast explore the beautiful town.
Day 2: Manali Sightseeing
Wake-up early in the morning for Sightseen. The famous tourist destinations of Manali are Manu Mandir, Vashisht Kund, Hidimba Temple, Van Vihar, Manali Market, Solang Valley. So enjoy your ride to see all these places. After having adventurous activities like paragliding, ropeway at Solang Valley. Head back to your hotel, take rest and enjoy the evening at the central market. After having dinner take a good sleep for feeling comfortable at the next day-long ride to Jispa.
Day 3: Manali to Jispa
Start your day early with breakfast, pack your bags and start your ride towards Jispa. To reach Jispa you will pass through one of the highest passes, which is well known Rohtang Pass. During the journey explore it and have some beautiful pictures to share with your friends and family. The other places on the route are Gulaba, Marhi, Khoksar. Till evening you will reach Jispa campsite. Rest for a while and have dinner under the sky full of stars. Get more familiar with the teammates then retire to your tent.
Day 4: Jispa to Sarchu
Wake-up early in the morning to see the breathtaking sunrise. Enjoy the breakfast made by a local cook and start your ride after getting prepared. Today you will witness the beauty of Darcha, Bara Lacha La, Zing Zing Bar in between the ride. Capture the scenic beauty in your camera. Reach Sarchu campsite and enjoy dinner with bonfire and have rest.
Day 5: Sarchu to Leh
Start your ride from Sarchu to Leh. This will be again full of surprises. The places you will see on this day are Nakee La, Lachung La, and Gata Loops. After the long bike ride, you will reach Leh till evening. Check out at Leh hotel, have your dinner and rest.
Day 6: Trip to Sham Valley
In the morning you will be welcome by sunrays at Leh so enjoy this beautiful morning with tea/coffee and after freshen up, do breakfast and start your ride for Sham Valley one of the beautiful valleys of Ladakh region. Today you will visit Ladakh Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Zanskar and many more. Then the next amazing spot is Magnetic Hill that is also called anti-gravitational hill due to its strange geomagnetic properties. Head back to Leh, enjoy dinner and take night rest.
Day 7: Ride to Nubra Valley
Today will be the most exciting day because of Khardung La pass. After getting ready for the ride to Nubra Valley check your bike before starting the ride and listen to all the instructions carefully provided by your team leader. To reach Nubra valley you will be pass through Khardung La that is claimed to be the highest motorable road in the world. In between the ride when you reach Khardung La top will have the feeling like a winner. After getting some pictures of you and with your teammates start your ride towards Nubra valley. It will take the whole day to reach there. Another adventurous activity you will do during the journey is the double-humped camel ride at Hunder white desert and will also visit the Diskit monastery. Enjoy your night at Nubra campsite.
Day 8: Nubra to Pangong Tso Lake
Start your ride towards Pangong Tso Lake that is one of the most beautiful Himalayan lakes in India. You will ride along the river Shyok and till evening will reach Pangong Tso lake campsite. Enjoy the dinner with magnificent stargazing and get rest.
Day 9: Pangong to Tsokar
Enjoy reflections of sunrise in the morning at Pangong lake with breakfast and get ready to ride for Tsokar. During ride explore the local places and click some beautiful pictures. Reach Tsokar and take rest after dinner.
Day 10: Tsokar to Jispa
Today you will ride 225 km to reach Jispa. It will take your whole day to reach.
Day 11: Jispa to Manali
Start your ride to reach Manali. Today you will again ride your bike on the beautiful Rohtang Pass. Reach Manali has some rest and the board the bus for your ongoing journey with memories.
