Some people think they could set up a business just by a hunch – they think or have heard somewhere that something is a good idea and could be profitable. Is opening yet another café a great idea? It might be, but do not be fooled that anyone could just do it and make it an overnight success. Do market research, know what your target market and target customers are. Some entrepreneurs make a mistake of finding marketing not worth investing in and, as a result, fail to build brand awareness and create a buzz that could spread to potential clients.

  1. Business is not building a brand

Do you know what your strong suits are? If you have created a product or a service people are willing to purchase, you should never stop improving it. As long as you innovate and progress, your business will thrive. The aim is to create a trustworthy brand that your clients can rely on.
